my heart goes out to all the daughters & sons out there who had to be parents for their parents. who have to talk their parents down from a fit, or deal with their abusive comments because their mother and father can only express their emotions harmfully.

my heart goes out to the daughers and sons who’ve had to apologize for every remotely mean things they’ve said to their parents because they didn’t get the chance to be mad. they didn’t get those special talks or understanding, and worst of all, they had to be there for their parents when they cry.

my heart goes out to the daughters & sons who think this is okay and that it’s normal. there is a world out there that is much bigger than this one, we just have to really look.
